Truckee Tahoe Airport District

Just 5.5 miles south on Interstate 267-S from the NPOA Recreation Center is the Truckee Tahoe Airport. Since 1958, the Truckee Tahoe Airport District (TTAD) has established this beautiful location as a safe and secure destination for all local operators and travelers. TTAD, over the decades, has also relied heavily upon community outreach and feedback to maintain aviation protocol. Just recently, the TTAD began the process of developing new instrument flight procedures to pass on to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for certification. The main intention of designing the flight procedures is to accommodate the community and reduce noise or annoyance while also complying with criteria established by the FAA. We have provided TTAD reports on initial proposed flight procedures and an early analysis of a conceptualized 3rd runway proposed in 2015.
