Donations
Household items such as furniture and appliances are NOT allowed to be placed at the dumpster Site for others to pick-up, as these items often need to be separately hauled to the Eastern Regional Landfill in Truckee. However, we do encourage owners to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Before tossing usable household items in the trash or recycling, please consider reuse opportunities currently available near the Northstar community. Local organization Keep Truckee Green lists several entities for buying, selling or donating items to local community members. And while most non-profit or charity organization are currently not providing a pick up serve, please consider taking a little extra time to drop off your donatable treasures at one of the following organizations:
